A Celebration Of the Divine Feminine
Navratri is a nine-night tradition, rooted in ancient Indian culture, honoring the feminine energy in its many forms. This year, we shall celebrate it across our neighborhoods, moving from studio to studio, using the framework of the chakra system. All events in-person.
Each day a different archetype of feminine strength will be honored as we move from the root to the crown. Each studio will bring its own magical offering, beginning with a short reflection and meditation tuned to that day’s energy, led by Ramaa Krishnan (fullbloomedlotus.com). Then the hosting studio takes over, offering their own expression of the day’s theme, in whatever form feels true to them. We close the arc together on October 20th to celebrate all we’ve moved through.

Throat Chakra: Goddess Saraswati – Single Event
| Theme: Integrating the Feminine energy of kindness and playfulness to express one’s truth into the world, so as to be healing rather than wounding.
Offering: Join Ramaa Krishnan of Full Bloomed Lotus and presenter Eileen Paull as we celebrate Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of wisdom, eloquent speech, music, and the creative arts. Ramaa opens with a reflection tuned to this stage of the Navratri journey, before Eileen, drawing on her background as a Jungian scholar, leads us deeper into Saraswati’s wisdom and draws out her parallels to Athena, goddess of reason and discernment, whose strategic insight complements Saraswati’s intuitive, creative wisdom. In these turbulent times, both goddesses invite us to move beyond silence, to find our authentic voices and speak what we believe with clarity, courage, kindness, and playfulness, healing rather than wounding with every word. Together, they offer guides for speaking thoughtfully, listening deeply, and responding wisely to the world around us. About the Presenter: Eileen Paull, a Women’s Exchange facilitator since 2019, draws on Carl Jung’s depth psychology to lead discussion groups exploring a woman’s archetypal journey through fairy tales, folk tales, and goddess mythology, drawing on the work of Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Sharon Blackie, and Jean Shinoda Bolen. |
