Monday, September 16: Finally, Proof that Women Know Best!
Come lower your blood pressure and boost your immune system with an evening of friendship and conversation about an astounding new book by award-winning neuroscientist and UCLA professor Shelly Turner, The Tending Instinct. Turner describes biological evidence that women respond to stress with "tend and befriend" behaviors that have a demonstrable impact upon health for everyone involved. There will be short presentation by WEX regular Kate Wallace Ph.D. (Note: the following Wednesday, Kate will start a Lunch Break discussion of The Tending Instinct)
Monday, October 7: Packing For The River Of Life
Traveling light down the River of Life would probably not include Hackney burgers or bricks of onion rings. Cheryl Perlitz will look at those simple, ordinary things, (some of which may surprise you), that we NEED to have in our packs to survive the journey. Learn how to pack light (for life) and still move fast, be safe, be comfortable and enjoy the ride. With Cheryl as a tour guide, you know the trip will be fun!
Monday, November 18: Have You Read a Really Good Book This Year? Come tell us about it. Cant seem to find a good read? Come hear the finds of others. Just an evening of fellowship with Judi Geake and others, sharing book titles and brief reviews in time for holiday giving or a long winter of reading for pleasure.
